My son & I are both sick with crappy, sinus, crap! I have not slept well for the past 2 nights. I fell asleep around 12:30 a.m., but my son came into our room at 1:30 a.m., coughing & waking me up. To make things tougher, Derrick had a service last night that he attended and right now he's currently at a Pastor's meeting. I know that I will have all of his help when he returns home...he's a great husband.
I met with a girl yesterday about helping the kids with their Spanish. She used to be a nanny in the States, she's a dance teacher, and she also teaches at a high school here. My sweet neighbor, and new friend, Vicki, recommended her after I had shared my desire to have someone help them with their Spanish. Cristy is going to think about it, and I am praying about it. We'll see what God does.
Homeschool is going pretty well. It's been sporadic the past couple of days, but we have accomplished it in some form or another. My son is reading a lot more, and that really excites me! It is the coolest thing in the world to see your child learn how to read. This past weekend we were at church, and they had songs on the overhead projector. One of the lines had the Spanish pronoun "me" in it, but of course he recognized a word as the English word "me". He was so excited that he had found a word that he knew. He's also "reading" the book "Enjoying God" by S.J. Hill. He's not really reading it, but he looks through it to find words that he knows.
We are having a Superbowl party on Sunday. Go Patriots! I really don't care who wins, and I probably will be busier holding Melody's baby than watching the game. And it's not like anyone can really beat the Patriots this year anyway. But like I said, who cares? ;-)
