~ As of today ~

My baby is 6 months old. SIX...................................................MONTHS. I finally found a bottle that he will drink out of (Tommee Tippee) so that I can leave him for longer than 3 hours at a time, if I need a break.

It's raining. It's pouring. I love the rain. I had to buy a new umbrella today because the kids have apparently mistaken our huge golf umbrella as carpet on the floor of our car. I tried to use it today and it wouldn't even open. Not that it mattered because it has a big ol' gap in it. Anyway, I have a new one that is very sturdy and keeps me dry.

D & I had a date night tonight. We ate at Longhorn. After that we went to the Home Depot (I love that store). Then we went to Best Buy and used some gift certificates. I got the "Anne of Green Gables" trilogy. When I first looked at it at Best Buy, 4 years ago, it was $99.99. My patience paid off. It is now $59.99. See what waiting 4 years can do to an economy? I also got "Pride & Prejudice" on blu ray. We got some things for the kids and for the big kid, too. We ended up at Sports Authority, looking at baseball bats for our 8 year old that is taking his first steps towards Cooperstown. Side note: Did you know that the town of Cooperstown, NY was founded by James Fenimore Cooper's Dad? That's a nifty piece of information that I learned from my Dad. Anyway...where was I? :-D

I'm tired and going to bed now. I will enjoy the sound of the rain as it sings me to sleep.
