I am overwhelmed by the amount of support and encouragement that we have received. My friends, Lora & Mary, have both posted blogs about it. We attended the viewing tonight. We were there for 5 1/2 hours, but it only felt like a couple. Time is a blur right now. The funeral directors said that about 500 people filtered in & out of the viewing. That's a lot. Tonight was not as hard as I had imagined it to be. It was tiring, but I am carrying an extra load. Tomorrow will be another long day.
I love my father-in-law and I miss him so much. This is almost as close to losing one of my own parents.
OK...I'm so dang tired. I need to go to sleep.

Oh Valerie, I am so saddened by your loss. I am praying for you, Derrick and the kids through all this. We love you guys and if you need anything, please call.
