WARNING!!! This is not a post for men. Hey, I warned you.

Not exactly the kind of thing that I wanted to post for my 200th post, but here it is.

We have to have a brand new transmission. If you don't know how much one of those costs, I'll tell you in a less scary manner. Well, I just figured out that there is no "less scary manner", so here it goes. $3200!!!!! I about fell into a fetal position and started sucking my thumb when I found out. Not much to say after that. It is what it is.

On a funnier note (REALLY??? Could it get funnier than $3200?)...I have a cute story. Derrick and I have been married for 9 1/2 years. In the 9 1/2 years that we have been married I have never asked him to do what I asked him to do earlier today. The conversation went like this:

Me: Honey, I need you to get me something. Something that in the 9 1/2 years we've been married I have never asked you to get.

Him: YOU WANT ME TO GET TAMPONS!?!?!!!!!

I used to pride myself on never having made him do that. But seeing as our car is in the shop having my tummy tuck money spent on it (YES, one day I do hope to have a tummy tuck...don't judge me), I had no means to go to the store on my own. (OK, I really don't know if I could spend that much on a tummy tuck, but if I could I would.) History has been made. Derrick has contributed his own cash to the Tampax company.

Hahahahaha!!! Poor Derrick! :)

I am so sorry about the $3200.00! We had that happen one time when we had a Suburban. The reverse went out on us. That was interesting trying to get the car to the shop. :)

I had to get a new transmission earlier this year. Sorry it is happening to you too.
On a brighter note, my hubby buys me anything I need like that, anytime. Isn't he great?

Hey - just double check that your warranty doesn't cover it. Here's the deal, our van needed a new transmission. Our warranty was up. But the apparently there had been a problem with that particular year of vehicle and its transmission. In the end we got a brand new transmission and a loaner car for FREE. You never know...

As for the husband and the tampons... well, that is hilarious!

Did he bring you pack generic brand? That's happened to me. When I was in Jr High I had to ask my dad one time ...my parents were divorced, my step-mom, dad's girlfriend at the time wasn't in town, and he was working at the fire department so it wasn't like he could drive me and just sit in the car. So Dad had a fireman driver.. he and this guy had to go to Eckards by the hospital and get me "feminine products"... I'm still mortified!

Are ya'll still in GA? Did you get the transmission there?

What a good man you have! Bet he wished the car was fixed even more than you at that moment. :)

Tee hee. Sounds like hubby learned how to get "the stuff". I've been married 22 years and my husband has picked "the stuff" up for me at least 50 times... maybe more. Make sure you tell him that it gets easier each time. ha ha! Cute. :)

My husband would be more than fine getting that stuff (I think I have asked him maybe twice on our 19 yrs of marriage), but I am mortified to ask him- silly, I know.
