All in a day's work....

This morning was a late morning. It was a late, restless night for the babies the night before. At about 11:30 a.m. all of the kids were up and playing.

I'm on the phone with a friend from Mexico. We had been on the phone maybe 30 seconds when it happens. A collision of children. D was here and I knew that he would kiss the boo-boos, calm them down, and separate them. But they weren't calming down. I'm still trying to talk to Kelley when our little girl comes to me and screams, "THERE'S BLOOD!" Her hand was covered in blood.

I quickly get off of the phone. We started investigating the kids. It turns out that #3's chin hit the head of #2. She had a clean-cut gash on her head. We rinsed it off, quickly got dressed and teeth brushed, took the other 3 to Granna's, and headed to the ER.

After 30 minutes at the ER, we decided to go to urgent care. It was a far less wait (5 minutes) and it's less expensive. This was our 3rd visit there in the past 2 months. Three different patients, but 3rd time none the less.

The result was that they glued her wound. Now she cried when it first happened. But after we cleaned it off, she didn't cry. She has cried more over the fact that she can't swim for the next 5 - 7 days.

To make life even *funner*, #3, who has bad reactions to mosquito bites, had another one. He swells like crazy. He looks like an alien. A super-cute alien.
