This is my place to write my pet peeves.
PP #1 ~ Skin care and beauty product ads that feature celebrities that have obviously had plastic surgery. It's all like, "Hey! Look at me! Spend a ton of money on these products because my plastic surgery is misleading you to think that you'll look like me if you buy this." I just love when talk show hosts ask people like Raquel Welch, "what's your secret to staying so young?". Like she's going to bust out with a "plastic surgery" answer. Even though we all know why she looks so young and we all know that she's lying. Which leads me to PP #2....
PP#2 ~ Why can't women accept growing old gracefully? Why is there an expectation to NOT age when we are made to age? Why fight it a losing battle? Age and go on with life.
PP #3 ~ Why do we call it the World Series when, clearly, only teams in N. America are playing? It's not the Olympics. It's Major League Baseball that is played in the U.S.A. and a couple of cities in Canada. Or why is it Ms. Universe when there are clearly no beings from Mars or Neptune in the pageant?

I love your last one! I just got visions in my head of aliens participating in Miss Universe, lol!
I also hate it when they put a celebrity mom up on a pedestal for being such a great mom when we all know she has help like crazy! So unrealistic.
