~ Testing, testing ~

It is testing week at the school where my husband teaches. I have other friends that teach there, too. Apparently testing is very boring because I have received an entertaining letter from my friend everyday this week. Love it.

I love that our son has had so much fun playing baseball. But I'm ready for it to be over. I'm ready to have my 3 nights a week back. They usually have practice on Wednesday night, a game on Thursday night, practice again on Friday night, and then a game on Saturday morning or afternoon. OK...did you read that? Practice on FRIDAY NIGHT??? All practices and games are at 7:30 p.m. and end at about 9:00 p.m. And that's 4 days a week taken with baseball.

Last night I did not go to the game. I'm glad I didn't. They did not get home until 9:35 p.m. and didn't fall asleep until 10:15-ish. That's almost 2 hours later than they usually go to bed. It was so hard waking them up this morning.

I need a vacation. We are going to a pastor's conference with no kids. But I mean a vacation with a beach, pool, 45 spf sunscreen, and NO KIDS. I want palm trees, a cool breeze, the sound of crashing waves, and all the while my man is right next to me.

What about the race? That's vacation, right?

I love the beach too. Maybe we should get away together!
