Why do I even bother?

My truly honest reason for not blogging is because I don't feel like our lives are that interesting to write about. School, church, school, church, me being tired, school, church, etc. And since I am busy w/ 2 babies during the day, I don't really have time to sit and write out my thoughts on other subjects, like health care, the flood, & Kanye. Once again, I'll give a quick update.

Our kids are out of school until Thursday. It's not just because the roads are flooded, but because Douglas County doesn't have water and won't until Thursday. The kids are enjoying their vacation. Yesterday S & A went over to our Pastor's house w/ D to help move stuff out of their flooding basement. The kids helped out a lot. But S also had some fun w/ our Pastor's youngest son. They think this is play time, to they were riding their scooters in the water. Whatever.

We had a couple of small leaks but they were leaks around pipes that weren't sealed very well. Once we had a break in the rain, D took care of it. D is now on a mission to get to a grocery store.

I have stopped drinking soft drinks. I haven't had one since Sept. 12th. I felt that it was something that God wanted me to do. It hasn't been that hard because I know it is from the Lord and I am drawing on His strength. I've tried many times on my own to stop drinking them and I never succeeded. I don't have a specific time limit on not drinking them, but for sure not until I stop nursing which will be in about 10 months. I mainly drink water, but if I want flavor it's either lemonade or fruit punch that is watered down. Because I'm not drinking them, our kids don't drink them as much, either; unless we run through a drive-thru.

Looking at my mexican, he cracks me up. His favorite, and I mean FAVORITE, toy is a calculator. He carries it with him everywhere. The other day he tried to take a nap with it. It has buttons and he thinks it's a phone.
