Was there a Mac truck in my room last night?

I slept hard, I slept great. But woke up and felt like I had just competed in the World's Strongest Woman competition. On top of that, I felt nauseous. I took my little girl upstairs with me, to my room. She watched TV while I went in & out of sleep and Derrick was teaching our son. I'm sure it's not the greatest thing, but it's almost noon and I haven't eaten or had anything to drink. I just couldn't for fear of feeling worse. On a positive note, I made chicken noodle soup last night with whole wheat noodles. Nothing like some soup to help me feel better. I'm going to heat some up for myself as soon as I get off this stinkin' computer.

While I'm here, I'll recount a funny story. My Dad gave our son some walkie-talkies for his birthday a couple of years ago. Through all of our moves - my in-law's & 3 moves here in Mexico - they just have never come out. I found them the other day and set them out so that he & his sister could eventually play with them. He found them yesterday. They need 9-volt batteries and we don't have any in the house. He was so determined to find some 9-volt batteries that he started going through all, AND I MEAN ALL, of his toys that use batteries to see if he could find a 9-volt battery. He found one. He, of course, needs 2...one for each walkie-talkie. Because of his determination, it almost made me want to go out to the store to buy him some right at that minute. But I didn't because I was too tired to even attempt an adventure to Wal-Mart. It was also a great time to teach him about the virtue of patience. You would think that waiting one day wouldn't be that tough, but it has been all that he's talked about & thought about for the past 24 hours, minus sleep. Nonetheless, today we are going to the store to buy him some batteries.

OK...I'm off to feed myself & my baby.

I hope your feeling better. Maybe the baby is just pushing around on everything in there and making you feel icky.
